9

happy birthday my sweet girl! I probably say this every year, but I can’t believe she is 9!! It was a birthday celebration just like she likes – swimming, beach and dinner at Rainforest Cafe. She was really embarrassed when we all sang happy birthday at the restaurant!

snow day

snow in texas is extra fun!
first, we don’t get it that often and when we do, it’s a blast! then, it’s gone the next day, so we don’t have to deal with the mess. This was the most snow we got here in a long, long time. It snowed the whole day! The girls had a blast and Rio LOVED it! seriously! this dog could live in the snow! School was canceled the next day. We had about 8 inches of snow on the grass – not much on the sidewalks. We built a snow man, played with the girl across the street and got some pool floats to slide down our “hill”. (well, mostly them! I was freezing my fingers taking pictures!) We played outside until they were so wet, they couldn’t stand the cold anymore.

disney

it’s not an easy task to choose the best ones when you have so many pictures! from 2000 down to about 20 – not bad!!
here it is! the best of our disney trip!

snow

snow day, in texas!! it doesn’t happen very often but this year is the 4th time, I think! We woke up at 7 and everything was white! My girls are beyond excited! and sad that they have to go to school! Rio (our dog) is running like crazy and eating snow! What a great way to start the day!!! Now, with the kids in school, Rio is sitting by the door, “crying” to go back outside!

really?

is it really february already??? where did december and january went???!!
I honestly didn’t realize it until this morning!
We had a crazy, good end/beginning of the year. Sure, december is always a blur with the holidays, kids at home, shopping, cooking and more. And this year we had an extra special Christmas – a white Christmas!!! in texas!!! pictures coming!

But January? c’mon! where is January!!??
We had a small vacation at Disneyworld. The girls where in heaven!
Then had family over for a week. You don’t realize what it is to have your family doubled until it happens! Seriously! Managing 4 adults and 4 kids is no easy feat!
It’s chaos most of the time.
All I can say is that I can’t shop anymore!!!! if you want to know the definition of “shop till you drop” you have to meet my sister!!!
but now that they are gone, we miss everybody already. The sad part is that we never know when we will see each other again… but this is the price of living far away….

Now ready to start the new year! Lot’s of new plans for the website! stay tuned!
